RESUMEN
El presente artículo es un ensayo producto de la revisión de diversos documentos y autores que tiene como finalidad presentar una descripción de los aspectos básicos de la Teoría Fundamentada (TF) a fin de brindar orientaciones a aquellos investigadores que se inician en la investigación cualitativa y desean emplear este método. Se presentan elementos básicos de este método cualitativo como lo son: a) su objetivo, generar teoría a partir de textos recogidos en contextos naturales y sus hallazgos son formulaciones teóricas de la realidad; b) distinción entre la teoría formal y la teoría sustantiva, c) el referente teórico de la TF, d) el muestreo teórico, e) la saturación teórica, f) la formulación de preguntas y comparaciones teóricas, g) Codificación y Categorización y por ultimo un mapa conceptual que sintetiza los aspectos fundamentales de la TF.

ABSTRACT
This article is an essay product of the review of various documents and authors whose purpose is to present a description of the basic aspects of Fundamental Theory (TF) in order to provide guidance to those researchers who start qualitative research and want Use this method. Fundamental elements of this qualitative method are presented, such as: a) its objective, to generate theory from texts collected in natural contexts and its findings are theoretical formulations of reality; b) distinction between formal theory and substantive theory, c) the theoretical reference of TF, d) theoretical sampling, e) theoretical saturation, f) formulation of questions and theoretical comparisons, g) Coding and Categorization, and Finally, a conceptual map that synthesizes the fundamental aspects of TF.
