RESUMEN 

     Los estudios cualitativos están dirigidos a profundizar en los fenómenos explorándolos directamente desde la perspectiva de quienes participan, convirtiéndose éstos en las personas claves para las investigaciones de este tipo. El informante es el centro de toda investigación porque por sus vivencias pueden ayudar al investigador en varias tareas como el abrir el acceso a otras personas y/o a nuevos escenarios, así como también, favorecer las relaciones en el contexto para poder estudiar la “realidad” social. En tal sentido, el siguiente artículo tiene como propósito mostrar al lector algunas de las concepciones y puntos de vista de autores sobre el significado e importancia de los informantes como fuente de información.

ABSTRACT 

     The purpose of the following article is to show the reader some of the author's conceptions and points of view about the meaning and importance of the informants. Turning these into the key people for those studies where the approach is from the qualitative paradigm. The informant is the center of all research because, through his experiences, he can help the researcher in various tasks, such as opening up access to other people and new scenarios, as well as fostering relationships in context to study social "reality".
